Overview

It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The main program executable is mypc backup.exe. It also adds an icon to the Windows notifications area in order to provide access to the program. A vast majority of those who have this installed end up removing it just after a couple weeks. The software installer includes 67 files and is usually about 28.44 MB (29,819,126 bytes). Configuration Updater.exe is the automatic update component of the software designed to download and apply new updates should new versions be released.

This program has been haunting me to back it up. so I finally clicked ok. then it only took care of part of it so for $19.95 will do the rest, so I gave my debit # and that was it. nothing more happened and the site just went away--with no fixing. what did I pay for? I'm terrified now I have up banking info for nothing and will probably have someone steal identiy, etc. what do I do now?

Somehow I've got your program in my computer and it does NOT work. When I try to signup my details are rejected even though I use the same ones as with other programs. I've tried to uninstall the program but that doesn't work. I want a back-up but this one isn't doing it.

Thank you for this program...I made the mistake of listing programs with c/net for update announcements. When I updated my VLC player, I did a custom install and opted out, but this My PC Backup installed anyway. I immediately started getting pop-ups for their setup wizard. I've removed it now, but it is very irritating and I most certainly will NEVER use c/net again for anything.

Okay, you assert that your encryption is the same as banks use. But anyone banking agency and regulators can decrypt the data. How does the user set his/her backups so that only he/she or his/her heirs/agents can decrypt these data fails? The key to privacy is FIDE NEMO!
