What is Microsoft .NET Framework?
The .NET Framework is a software framework that includes a large library and provides language interoperability across several programming languages. Programs written for the .NET Framework execute in a software environment, known as the Common Language Runtime, an application virtual machine that provides services such as security, memory management, and exception handling. The class library and the CLR together constitute the .NET Framework. .NET Framework 4.5 included a set of new or improved features were added into this version. The .NET Framework 4.5 is only supported on Windows Vista or later.

How do I remove Microsoft .NET Framework?
You can uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
- On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall a Program.
- Windows XP: Click Add or Remove Programs.
- When you find the program Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5, click it, and then do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall.
- Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program).
- Follow the prompts. A progress bar shows you how long it will take to remove Microsoft .NET Framework.
