Microsoft Installer
What is Microsoft Installer?
The Microsoft Installer (MSI) is the application installation and configuration service for Windows. Windows Installer provides a standard foundation for installing and uninstalling software. Software manufacturers can create the setup of their products to use Windows Installer to help make software installation, maintenance, and uninstallation straightforward and easy.
Overview
It adds registry entry for the current user which will allow the program to automatically start each time it is rebooted. The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The setup package generally installs about 8 files and is usually about 2 MB (2,101,408 bytes).
