This adware (AKA WinCheck, CMI, ConvertAd) is an ad Injector that is typically bundled with unwanted software offers. This particular ad injector is an unwanted software program that is deceptive, difficult to remove as well as impacts the security of the user's privacy and computer health. It also displays intrusive advertisements in the browser which promote and trick users into installing other unwanted adware or malware. The program, which runs as a startup process in the background works by injecting into the browser ads on web pages that either do not normally appear or by replacing existing ads that are part of the existing site with ads from different companies with low quality offerings as well as malware. It works by monitoring and intercepting the user's web browser connections and injecting new content before the browser serve it up.
