What is LiveSupport?

Charges the user hundreds of dollars to provide remote technical support. LiveSupport is typically bundled by the company's 'PC Optimization' software including OptimizerPro, Driver Pro or another PC Utilities product. It will add a little icon as a toolbar and deskband, a picture of a support representative in the bottom of the screen or attached to the Window in focus. When the user clicks on this icon it will pop-up a Window to call a technical support phone number or to run a 'System Check'.

Overview

The most used version is 1.2.8.0, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. Upon installation, it defines an auto-start registry entry which allows the program run on each boot for the user which installed it. The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The main program executable is livesupport.exe. How do I remove LiveSupport?

You can uninstall LiveSupport from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
