Internet Download Accelerator, often called IDA, is a download manager for Microsoft Windows, created by a Ukrainian software company, WestByte Software. IDA integrates with Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome, Apple Safari and all web browsers that are built based on these, such as Maxthon. Once these browsers started a download, IDA takes over. It can also take over the download of streaming video from websites like Youtube. Alternatively, it can accept a list of URLs from the clipboard or through drag and drop.

It adds registry entry for the current user which will allow the program to automatically start each time it is rebooted. The program adds a toolbar to Microsoft Internet Explorer. The primary executable is named ida.exe. A majority of users end up uninstalling this less than a week of it being installed. The setup package generally installs about 10 files and is usually about 14.71 MB (15,429,570 bytes).

1. On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following:
• Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall a Program.
• Windows XP: Click Add or Remove Programs.

• Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program).
