What is HP Power Plan Utility?
The HP Power Plan Utility can be used to change the power settings. It will also display a message if you made any changes using the standard Windows power options controls.

The HP Power Plan Utility displays a graphical view of the power plan that is selected on the notebook. HP provides power plans to either conserve battery power, or maximize performance. There is also an HP recommended plan that is optimized for HP notebooks.

How do I remove HP Power Plan Utility?
You can uninstall HP Power Plan Utility from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
- On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall a Program.
- Windows XP: Click Add or Remove Programs.
- When you find the program HP Power Plan Utility, click it, and then do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall.
- Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program).
- Follow the prompts. A progress bar shows you how long it will take to remove HP Power Plan Utility.
