HP MediaSmart Services Gateway
Overview
HP MediaSmart Services Gateway is a program developed by Hewlett-Packard. During setup, the program registers itself to launch on boot through a Windows Schedule Task in order to automatically start-up. It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. The software installer includes 28 files and is usually about 14.96 MB (15,687,336 bytes). MediaSmartUpdater3.0.exe is the automatic update component of the software designed to download and apply new updates should new versions be released. In comparison to the total number of users, most PCs are running the OS Windows 7 (SP1) as well as Windows Vista (SP2). The distribution of this has mostly been seen in the United States.
