Overview
HP Help and Support is a program developed by Hewlett-Packard. It is bundled and preinstalled with various Hewlett-Packard computers. The most used version is 4.4.0002, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. The software installer includes 12 files and is usually about 798.38 KB (817,538 bytes). In comparison to the total number of users, most PCs are running the OS Windows XP as well as Windows 7 (SP1). While about 46% of users of HP Help and Support come from the United States, it is also popular in Italy and France.
HP Help and Support is pre-installed on the PC
Such software is installed by the manufacture when delivering the PC to the end user. Some pre-installed programs are considered bloatware as they are simply limited function trials, while others are required for proper PC operation.
Note: This program has often been considered as bloatware by some users as it is bundled on various manufacturer's new PCs. How do I remove HP Help and Support?
You can uninstall HP Help and Support from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
- On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall a Program.
- Windows XP: Click Add or Remove Programs.
- When you find the program HP Help and Support, click it, and then do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall.
- Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program).
- Follow the prompts. A progress bar shows you how long it will take to remove HP Help and Support.
