What is Elevated Installer?
This is an installer to install various Garmin products that required elevated system privileges. When run it will require administrator access to install the program.
Overview
The most common release is 3.2.29.0, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. The setup package generally installs about 6 files. The installed file garmin.cartography.mapupdate.corelibrary.dll is the auto-update component of the program which is designed to check for software updates and notify and apply them when new versions are discovered.

How do I remove Elevated Installer?
You can uninstall Elevated Installer from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
- On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall a Program.
- Windows XP: Click Add or Remove Programs.
- When you find the program Elevated Installer, click it, and then do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall.
- Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program).
- Follow the prompts. A progress bar shows you how long it will take to remove Elevated Installer.
