Constant Guard Protection Suite is a software program developed by Comcast. The most common release is 1.13.1211.1, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. It adds a Browser Helper Object (BHO) to Internet Explorer. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The primary executable is named SplashWindow.exe. Many users end up uninstalling this after less than a month of it being installed. The setup package generally installs about 35 files and is usually about 35.14 MB (36,851,813 bytes). Relative to the overall usage of users who have this installed on their PCs, most are running Windows 7 (SP1) and Windows 10. installed Constant Guard, computer immediately started running really, really slowly, internet browsing was jacked up, and upon restarting computer, I would have to kill it in the task manager just to get my programs to show up. 15 min process. And my computer is a beast. Uninstalled CG... BAM. back to normal blazing speeds.
