COTM Reminder by We-Care.com is a web browser toolbar designed for various charity organizations with the intention of providing a percentage of any purchases made by the user using the toolbar through a valid merchant back to the charity. The We-Care.com toolbar relies on the consumer becoming a member. If the consumer buys through this toolbar throgh a set of affiliate merchants they will donate a percentage of their purchase to a charity of their choice. COTM Reminder by We-Care.com is a web browser toolbar and extension that modifies the browsers search and home pages as well as delivers contextual based advertising. This toolbar currently supports Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome. In order to provide search advertising revenue, the software is designed not only to modify the search provider but to protect it so that it remains the default browser search engine. It is typically installed via a co-bundled offer within a third-party software distribution.

What it does:
- Modifies the default search engine and search provider.
- Changes the default browser home page.
- Adds search functionality from the address bar.
- Adds alternative redirection "page not found".
- Displays contextual searvh advertising.

It adds a Browser Helper Object (BHO) to Internet Explorer. The primary executable is named iemenuitem.dll. A majority of users end up uninstalling this less than a week of it being installed. The setup package generally installs about 8 files and is usually about 4.13 MB (4,325,376 bytes). The installed file wcautoupdate.exe is the auto-update component of the program which is designed to check for software updates and notify and apply them when new versions are discovered.
