What is Blitz Media Player - a modern video player?

This is a potentially unwanted ad-support media player that will popup advertisements. "The Software starts automatically when you start your computer, runs in the background on your computer, and may periodically direct you to our sponsors’ websites and/or show you other forms of advertisements (including the Slider format)."

The software also bundles open source free software such as FFmpeg and AVFilter with potentially unwanted software offers.

In addition, the BlitzMediaPlayerBrowser will monitor search terms a user types into the browser and if such terms are for actions like downloading software, the service will popup a custom popup windows asking the user to download it 'free' from its partner site. The suggested 'free' download is bundled with a number of adware components using such download manager like DomaIQ from Tuguu SL. For example a search in the browser for 'Dropbox' popped up an external windows running under the process BlitzMediaPlayerBrowser.exe and offers to 'Download Dropbox for FREE' which a note at the bottom of the page... "popdls.com is distributing modified installers which differ from the originals. DomaIQ is an install manager that will manage the installation of your selected software. In addition to managing the installation of your selected software, DomaIQ will make recommendations for additional free software that you may be interested in. Additional software may include toolbars, browser add-ons, game applications, anti-virus applications, and other types of applications."

BlitzMediaPlayer also engages in extensive malvertising practices by popping up windows that warn the user that they need to upgrade or fix their browser, Java, etc, all forcing the user to download bundled adware.

How do I remove Blitz Media Player - a modern video player?
