BitComet is a cross-protocol BitTorrent, HTTP and FTP client written in C++ for Microsoft Windows. The BitComet program is a multi-threaded multi-protocol hybrid download manager and BitTorrent Peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing application. It supports simultaneous download tasks. To complete a particular download, it can draw parts of files from many sources across different P2P and client–server protocols.

Overview

It adds registry entry for the current user which will allow the program to automatically start each time it is rebooted. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The primary executable is named bitcomet.exe. The setup package generally installs about 5 files and is usually about 26.92 MB (28,223,968 bytes).

How do I remove BitComet?
