Overview

Advanced SystemCare Ultimate 7 is a software program developed by IObit. The most common release is 7.0.1, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. During setup, the program creates a startup registration point in Windows in order to automatically start when any user boots the PC. Upon being installed, the software adds a Windows Service which is designed to run continuously in the background. Manually stopping the service has been seen to cause the program to stop functing properly. It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). When installed, it will add a context menu handler to the Windows shell in order to provide quick access to the program. The primary executable is named asc.exe. The setup package generally installs about 72 files and is usually about 80.46 MB (84,366,510 bytes). The installed file AutoUpdate.exe is the auto-update component of the program which is designed to check for software updates and notify and apply them when new versions are discovered. Relative to the overall usage of users who have this installed on their PCs, most are running Windows 7 (SP1) and Windows 10. While about 51% of users of Advanced SystemCare Ultimate 7 come from the United States, it is also popular in United Kingdom and Canada.

I have used it for several years now and would not be without it. I regularly use it to clean up and speed up my computer. My only complaint is that I keep getting prompts to install standalone parts of the program (such as IOBit Uninstaller IOBit Anti-Malware) which are already included in the package and, therefore, unnecessary. Otherwise I can't praise it enough - especially as it comes with the very highly-ranked BitDefender anti-virus program built into it.
